How to Apply

Here we explain how to access the DNA-encoded library screening academic resource and the material and information requirements from both parties.

The collaboration will be formalised by a material transfer agreement contract that sets out the terms and conditions under which the University of Manchester can access and utilise the proteins users provide as well as how the results will be delivered and shared for the purpose of the research.

The first step is to contact us via email at sam.butterworth@manchester.ac.uk and sergi.celis@manchester.ac.uk, briefly explaining your project and the protein/s you would like to screen. We aim to reply within two working days to confirm the receipt of your request and start conversations about the project.

To use this resource it is required that the user provides a few milligrams of the protein with a His-Tag or similar, so we can immobilise it on beads, and ideally with evidence that the expressed protein is active or correctly folded. In order to test several conditions, it would be advantageous to have the total amount of protein aliquoted in lyophilised form so it does not go through too many freeze-thaw cycles and we can test different buffers, if appropriate.

We will also require information about the protein such as compatible/incompatible buffers and additives beforehand to assess your request.

Please download the material transfer agreement from the link below and send it signed to us.
